how to disable pin unlock

So my wife changed the phone to a pin lock and she didn't like it so she asked me to change it back to swipe to unlock.

I cannot. The selection for swipe unlock is greyed out. Somewhere on line it was suggested to try the clear credentials but it is greyed out as well.

I thought this should be simple, but maybe I'm missing something???

Is she using any application that might require a pin/password to access the phone?  Apps like Samsung Pay, Android pay and other require more security then the unsecured swipe to unlock option.
