Downloading pictures to Craigslist?

I have had the droid x for just under a month. One of the things I use it for is taking pictures and posting adds in Craig list. Up until two days ago I was able to plug my phone in with the USB to my computer, then I would get to where the pics are and I would save them into a new file under my picture setting in my documents.

I would then go into my account on craigslist and put in all my details for the add. I would then browse the computer and select the file I had the pics in and I would open each one and hit continue. I never waited for more than 2-4 min for pics to upload. Now I can't get them to load period. Im not sure if under my add and remove programs if something that the phone needs was uninstalled but I could really use some advice. Thankyou

try sending them to your email then saving them on your computer..

The impression i get from your post is that your issue is less with the droid than it is with craigslist and or windows, right? What i mean is, you go through all the steps you outlined and your picture that you transferred from your phone into the my pictures folder is viewable and is there on your computer.

So...the Droid x took the picture just fine and you were able to transfer it to your computer but you can't seem to upload it to craigslist now.

The problem is simply the picture you took, likely 5mp or 8mp is too large a file size for craigslist to upload easily. File size on a digial photo can vary widly based not just on resolution (megapixels) but also what the subject of the photo is. For instance, an all white or all black picture with nothing else in the frame taken at 8MP will output a much smaller file size than a picture of a multi-colored flower garden with millions of flowers taken at the same resolution of 8MP.

So...your other pictures were either simple, undetailed photos or you changed the megapixel settings within the camera.

Go into camera settings and change the resolution to less than 5mp....anything will be good enough for craigslist and the file size will be much smaller.

Oh....and you are uploading them to Craigslist not downloading them. :smileywink:

yeah thats big i sold some speakers on craigslist and had to resize the picture down to like a 500kb file and a large vibrant picture is going to be at much much bigger than they allow

i know you can go to cnet.com and they offer file resizers after you got the pics on your computer you just select all the pics you want to resize drag on to the program and it will do all the work in a roughly seconds FYI these programs rock for emailing pics...does anyone know of one that can be saved on a droidx as an app

I read in maximum PC or PC world that Adboe has a great android app...free too.

I never searched for it or tried it from the market though.

try that.

after i save and email the re-sized pic to my pc, i forward it to myself/cox/outlook express and get an option to make the pic smaller.
