Wife tries to do text messaging. Phone will only allow voice to text. This just started today. Have a droid Maxx. How to regain type texting?
Sounds like the keyboard was changed from the original default to the voice input option. Settings > Language & Input > Current Keyboard > touch to change to the keyboard you prefer.
if you're using message+, switch to default messaging.
