Why can't I add my msn email account?

I just got a brand new Galaxy S7 Edge. I can't seem to add my msn account when I click on the email icon. When I click to sign in, it just hangs saying 'Checking incoming server settings'. HOWEVER, I can add my gmail and msn account when I click on the Gmail icon. I prefer to use the email icon though. Why is this?
