Why am I paying for premium here, when I can pay a premium at att, get my nougat and security updates, and be in in the same boat, literally 48 hours away from switching, this is ridiculous. If I find out its to make people buy the s8, I will definitely be switching.

And I see that AT&T just lowered their prices for unlimited. So now, you can get poor service for even less.

More of a cry for help, but you guys think it's OK to sacrifice security? and or force you spend more money to get something everyone else has? Cause that's what it looks like at this point, and why would you get a s8, specially when it's pretty much the same thing as a 7 specs wise? Unless your that ignorant about feeding the corporate machine.

I care about security. That's why in my research for a new phone, I concluded that I need to pick a device from a manufacturer that has a good track of releasing updates. Samsung didn't make the list.

Touche, but the allure of not worrying about water, and specs, was to great at the time, still are...Ish, what do you have? what security patches are you updated to? I just think it's amazing how blindly people accept this aspect of Verizon, and they continue to leave people in the dark about the issue, there is a beta but not a fan of betas, have had bad experiences.

Samsung has been releasing monthly security updates for a while -- VZW just needs to be more consistent in making them available to the end users.

DON'T DO THE UPDATE. Unless you don't mind having no way to connect to WiFi and then having to do a factory reset on your phone.

I just did the update to both of my S7's with Nougat and they connected to my Wifi immediately after booting up. The only thing I did before downloading the update I cleared the phone cache
