will not turn on since update

Verizon Wireless, once again, screwed this up. A 'system update' kept popping up on my Samsung S5 for days. It would not go away so reluctantly, I started the update. Now, the phone will not turn on, the factory reset button hold does not work and connecting it to my computer via USB does nothing. How funny is it that it is out of contract? Any clue on what to do or should I take it to the VZW store and implant it on the first tech I run into?

Plug it into the charger for upwards of three hours. After that attempt to turn it on. If that doesn't work, then you may be looking to get a new phone.

Just a reminder (not trying to start an argument) that VZW approves of all software updates before they are pushed Over The Air to customers. If there is an issue, please call in and report the issue as it may be happening to more than one person.

My GS5 worked beautifully yesterday before the update. Now it won't even turn on. I can't call because my phone won't turn on now. Getting a new phone is not a great solution whenever there's an update. Neither Verizon nor Samsung has a fix for these latest update problems. If they can't fix this issue I certainly will be dropping both Verizon and Samsung.

I am sorry to hear this as the same thing happen to me but from the update from may.I called Verizon and Samsung and got nothing but what acrillix said to buy a new phone. One of the first thing you will have to do IF you get it on is to go in a clear the cache and you may have to do the factory reset. If you don't get help you can also try and post on here they gave me more help then anywhere else.
