Do I have unlimited texting on my plan?

I'm a big texter, not so much a talker. We recently got the Connect plan, an individual account. It's in my father's name and all that. Well, I mainly chose that one, because it said "Unlimited text, picture, video & Instant Messaging". Now, is this unlimited to everyone, or just Verizon customers? Because I was looking at the bill total for this month, and it says we owe $125.13. Now, keep in mind it's $69.99 a month, plus $1.99 insurance, and the first bill has a $35 activation fee. So, I guess this is two questions. Why am I being charged extra? And what's the deal with my texting? Cause when I go to the Overview section in My Verizon, it says I've sent and received 56 texts, and it says "Monthly Allowance: Unlimited texts"

With the Connect plan you do get unlimited to messaging to anyone on any network.

 

As far as your bill, just look thru the bill detail and it'll break down all your monthly access charges. Register for MyVerizon and click on the MyBill tab. That'll give you a breakdown of everything.

 

With what you provided; $69.99, $35 activation and $2 insurance = $108 + tax. And I imagine beyond that you got charged a partial month of service from when you activated thru the end of your first bill cycle. But viewing your actual bill will be the only way to know.
