I keep hearing that the batteries are catching fire in this model. when I updated my phone, this is what they suggested. I'm concerned.
The battery issues are with the Note 7:
Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Recall
where have you heard that batteries are also effected in the s7??
CNN ran a story about the Galaxy s7 being recalled about 2 weeks ago. It was before the Note 7 was launched. But now I cant locate the story but I did find this class action Samsung Faces Lawsuit over Exploding Galaxy S7 edge
My phone runs hot most of the time. I don't use the cord to charge it anymore. I only use my wireless charger which seems to help. And I never leave it unattended when its charging. It would be great to get more information from Verizon on this.
LFRANK1,
I want you to be using your phone with confidence. Like a vehicle a phone will become warm when in use. Additionally, at times it can also overheat. Let’s talk about what is going on. How often is this happening? How long has this been a concern for?

Actually I'm curious about this, too. My phone has been running hot since the last Android update at the beginning of September. When it gets off the charger (wired or wireless) it's quite hot to the touch, and simple applications running that have never caused the heat are now an issue.
