There is no setting to disable the camera shutter sound. You can put the D2 in silent mode and it will not make a sound.
I use Vignette because it enhances the pictures, it has an option to disable the shutter sound.
Found a nice app to silence camera sound today that works perfectly, check out SilentSnap Free, it does what you want..
