Return To Home Screen after call

Is there a way to set the Droid to return to home screen after a call rather than to the contacts screen?

When driving it is a pain having to reach for the phone to hit the home button. If you put it in a case or your pocket in the contacs screen it will dial whatever nuber you happen to bump while storing the phone away.

I was told by Verizon that we cannot change that feature. I agree, it is annoying.

I apologize but the call menu feature can not be customized. You would only be able to press the home key.

You might want to try using the Car Home Application.

From the home screen, touch the applications tab (located on the bottom of the screen).

Touch Car Home.

If prompted, touch Accept.

Noah - I would like to be able to hit one key and end a call. On my phone, no matter how you make the call (car home, auto dial, regular dialing) when you are done you have to hit 2 keys to get back to home screen to prevent an accidental call. What is the advantage of car home?

Car Home is an application that provides the user with large, easy to use buttons and voice activated instructions. Car Home opens automatically when the device is placed in the optional car mount accessory. Beyond driving, there is not a lot of other use for the Car Home Application.

There is not a direct fix for the pressing two buttons issue, you can try changing the keyguard settings as a possible work around.

Keyguard:Protects the keypad from being accidentally pressed.
