I, too, like to keep my text messages synced between my devices. Let’s see how to enable this feature on your device.
First, what messaging application are you using on your Samsung Galaxy S5 device? Are you trying to send and receive texts on a different device or your computer? Please let me know so that I can further assist.

The function is available to VZW customers only. I have to mention this because the app is available to users on other carriers. So, If you are a vzw customer, let me know so we can help troubleshoot.

I use Verizon Messages. I had it on my last phone and everything synced to my tablet and my computer. Now messages I receive are synced, but not ones I send. I had an entire conversation on my computer but only the other person's messages appeared on my phone.
I think I'm a VZW member? My other devices sync with each other, and my last phone (S3) synced just fine.
