Why does my S7 want to update every day?

Hello. I just bought my wife a new Galaxy S7 on 11/23. The problem we are having is that it wants to do a system update everyday around 5pm PST. I could see 1-2 updates but going on #5 and feel that is excessive and becoming a problem. Has anyone run across this issue? Thanks

I've had 4-5 updates on my S7 since I got it new last May. Since your phone is new it is only logical that all pending updates will get pushed to the phone. The last two updates I received were RS4APH1 on 9/23 and RU4AP13 on 11/21.
