How do I transfer photos from my Samsung S 5 (the worst phone I have ever owned) to my computer?

I have a Samsung S 5 (AKA [removed]) how do I transfer photos to my computer? It worked fine until the marshmallow update, now it acts as if it isn't connected. I have already tried several USB cables, several ports.

With the Marshmallow update, the default USB mode is charge only. Pull down the notification shade, tap where it says USB Charging, then change it to File Transfer.
