tell me about voice to text

I have used an LG Env Touch, with keyboard, for two years. Received an Incredible as a gift. Hesitant about not having an actual keyboard. How well does the voice to text work? Also, does this phone have SWYPE? Thinking about an exchange to Droid Global, for the keyboard. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Voice to text is when ur sending a email or text to some an instead of typing it out just touch ur little microphone an say like hellow mom an it will show it for ya then send the msg as wood if u typed it out.!

i have used the voice to text on the droid. it will take some time getting use to it and it requires a large learning curve but i guess it works find, just talk at a medium pace with no background noise and you should be fast.

the motorola droid keyboard, i believe, is a great texting keyboard. i never had problems with it. as for swype for the incredible, i dont think there is an actual app for your phone.

going to droid global could mean one good thing: seeing how that phone is newer, you should be eligible for the updates later on in the year whereas the incredible, like the droid, will not be able to upgrade to the gingerbread.

Sam i checked on my incredible an as for swype i couldnt find it. i did however find it on my droid x and i think if check on the market there may be a app for swype on there as for the incredible it has a great display and the camera being a 8 mega pixel is excellent in my books try taking a picture in dark room with the flash an see how it looks it'll surprise ya. i was going to say above that wold be a great xmas present. wow

And as for the incredible: Saying its not getting Gingerbred that hasnt been confirmed or if it has show us the proof ! as momma would allways say!

Swype for Android isn't available as a gold version just yet, but they have opened up the beta versio to the public. Go to swype.com and sign up for it. If you want to download and use it, make sure your phone is set to accept 3rd-party apps.

As it is correct, no official list for which phones will get Gingerbread has been released just yet. I would be VERY surprised if the Dinc was NOT on the list to get it.
