I can't seem to find a way to disable the OTA auto update for software updates. I used to have the option of waiting until on wi-fi but that has been removed. This has happened a few times where it pushes me over my data plan for the month.
Are you referring to auto-updating your apps? If so, open the Play Store app, tap the three bars in the upper left-hand corner, tap Settings, tap Auto Update Apps, then change it to update over wi-fi only.
