Text Messages I Keep Receiving

I keep getting these crazy text messages and no matter what I do, they won't stop! They come in droves every few hours. The same thing over and over. It says to stop these messages simply reply. I reply and reply and reply with no subject, stop, stop please, unsubscribe, but nothing works. Verizon says they haven't been able to figure out why they can't stop them but they are working on it. Here is what the text says: BREW:0104F4BC :smileysurprised: ZMAIL CI=CBB626675455FF92C2D2C351 (this part is in the from portion) The body of the text is this: "//BREW:0104F4BCZMAIL CI=CBB626675455FF92C2D2C35102CCA031 MC=1 To stop these messages simply reply to this one (charge may apply)"

Has anyone ever seen this? If so, how did you get it to stop if you did? Thanks!

Right after I got my Blackberry I got a text saying "How about if I call you about your mortgage?" I texted back, "How about if I charge you for this message?" Right after that I went to donotcall.gov and registered my cell number. I have not received another text type spam

I found this solution on the BB forum...

I reactivated my {prior phone}, downloaded the Mobile Email App, and unchecked the alerts checkbox. I then unsubscribed my email address from the Mobile Email App and unsubscribed from the app. I also changed the password on my email account, just as a precaution. It's been 5 days, and I haven't received any more of the "OzMail" text messages, where I was receiving 5-10 per day. I only have 250 text messages/month, so those messages could easily have put me over the edge.

If you subscribed to Mobile Email on your previous phone, it glitches when you switch to a BB - not sure if that's your situation or not. You can follow the whole thread here. This post was #10....
