I just installed a 64GB micro SD card into my S4 to free up memory, but don't know how to transfer my stored photos to the card? Also, can I set the card as default storage for my photos?
TO move existing photos, open settings, application manager, move to the column labeled SD card, go to photo, camera and chose the Move to SD card option.
then open camera, general settings, and choose default storage to SD card.
Thank you for your help, however, when I go to the SD card column there is no photo or camera in the column. I must be doing something wrong.
IS it recognizing the SD card? It has to show an installed SD card.
THe arrangement may have changed with updates.
try finding Gallery in the all apps column, tap, and select move to SD card.
Previous updates put all apps that could use SD in the same column. Leave it to Samsung to foul up logic.
FIREQUEST,
Help is here! We want for you to be able to move your media to your SD card. Mama23dogs has provided some great information. I regret to see that you’re not able to see what is being described.
Let’s try this:1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps > My Files > All files.2. Tap SD card or Device storage.3. Select the file or folder location (e.g., Camera, DCIM, pictures, music, etc.).4. Touch and hold the file or folder.5. Tap Move.6. Tap SD card or Device storage.7. Tap the folder location.8. Tap Move here (located in the upper-right).I hope this helps!
