Camera error

All of a sudden when I click on my camera icon I get a black screen and then it tells me there is a camera error to restart camera. I have clear the cache, did a force stop and have restarted phone none of which have solved the issue. I have also uninstalled as many apps as I could find that would use the camera. What else can I do and has anyone else experienced this problem?

I should also add that the flashlight will come on for rear-facing but not front-facing

can you do a clear partition cache in recovery mode. NOT A RESET.
