I have a Galaxy S4. It's pretty old, but I like it and it serves me well. I recently installed a memory card because I keep running out of memory. I now store all music, recorded books, photos and videos on the card. I also transfer some apps to the card, which seems to be an available option only for certain apps.
However, I still keep running out of memory. First, some of the apps I move to the memory card keep finding their way back to internal memory (I haven't been able to determine if this happens only when the phone is rebooted or turned on after losing power, or if it happens on its own. Second, the memory profile shows that at least half the memory is taken up by "miscellaneous files" into which I appear to have no visibility.
So I keep having to repeat the exercise of clearing memory app by app, and transferring apps back to the memory card.
I need some insight into how to make this all work.
