A lot of the older phones even on other carriers don't see updates. It still works so what's the problem?
The Visual Voicemail discontinuation is happening to several older phones. The technology being used is getting obsolete. There might be other options available.

The legacy voice mail works great if set up correctly. I just push one button & I'm listening to messages in 5-10 seconds. No data, no drama . . . . .
yeah but when i called today they also said the premium voice mail with speech to text is going away as well. I am not always able to sit and listen to voicemails. it's nice to have the transcription to see if I need to leave a meeting or get someone to watch a class so i can return an important phone call.
You can always try Google Voice or YouMail. Google Voice is free with transcription included. YouMail charges a monthly fee if you want transcription.
