Although previous versions of Android allowed me to change the date display format in the date and time setting function, Android 6.0.1 seems to have removed the function entirely. How can I change the date format?
I know how important it is to personalize your phone Dkusnetzky. I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
I apologize but this option is no longer available after the software update. You can visit http://vz.to/2g8arBL to view the most current software version for your phone.

On the edge its in settings/system /date and time
The format date option is no longer available in the settings - date and time setting page. Furthermore, the language and input setting screen only offers "English" and doesn't allow "English (UK)" which also made it possible for the system to format the date the way I want to see it.
Android 6.0.1 appears to have removed the format date function. When I call Verizon, they send me to Samsung. When I call Samsung, they send me to Google. When I call Google they ignore my call.
My question still stands. How can I format the date to dd-mmm-yy rather than mm/dd/yy in the system?
Did you get the new update I think it just came out yesterday ??
I check if there are updates available (settings->system updates->check for system updates) from time to time. I've found that updates show up there before they are offered automatically.
