Galaxy S6 Edge - Data/Network Connection - Overheating - Help!!

“Lately, I have gone to places such as a movie or Dave&Busters here in LA and I am noticing my Galaxy S6 Edge is overheating and the battery drains quickly. Also, the data connection is awful which I think is causing the phone to overheat. Is there a network setting I need to change? I currently have is set to Global. Is it the phone itself? Would a connection on a iPhone be better? I am frustrated because I don’t expect this from Verizon.

Change the network mode to LTE/CDMA and see if that helps. You also might try turning off the phone and removing the SIM card for a minute or two, then reinsert the card, turn the phone back on, and give it a minute or so to establish a fresh network connection.

Yes, I have tried switching from GLOBAL to LTE/CDMA and I have the same

issue. I wonder if GSM would work?

I have not tried the SIM card method but will give it a try.
