Calendar icons on s7?

I just purchased a Galaxy s7. I loved my calendar on my s3 as I could add an icon that would show up on the monthly calendar view. At a glance of the whole month I could see the icon that stood for different 'events' that I had chose for that event. Can I do this with the calendar on my s7? All I seem to see on the monthly view on my s7 is the dates of the month and none of my events unless I click on that particular date.

We hope you are enjoying your phone so far, PATKET11. We want you to be able to customize your phone to your liking. Upon review of the device, we did not find an option for icons. We did however find that you can color coordinate events. Were you using the phone calendar or a third party app for a calendar?
