BROKEN SCREEN

My galaxy s5 screen is black. The phone is still responsive. I have plugged it in to the computer, but I am unable to transfer anything as I don't think the phone was set up for that when plugged in to a computer. I have tried to do the Dr.Fone toolkit, however they do not have the model for verizon, so I don't want to take a chance on it. It did have google back up, but it seems the google drive only saved apps. I need media, texts etc. Any ideas? thanks~Kerry

if you upgraded to marshmallow/6.0-6.0.1, default usb is charge only, pull down the usb menu & select media.

I'm terribly sorry to hear about your phone. I know how crucial it is to have a device you can count on to meet your needs. If the phone isn't responsive the options to get those things are pretty limited. When did the phone start having this trouble? What happens if we try to restart the phone?
