Storm 9530 with broken screen

The touchscreen on my 9530 is shattered. Inoperable. Trying to salvage my contacts with the USB cable provided at purchase but the Verizon Blackberry Desktop Manager won't run on my Mac. I have OSX v.10.4.11. I need 10.5. Not sure this old PowerPC G4 will support that. Verizon can't do it at the store without an operable screen. Anyone have any suggestions on how to solve this? Thanks.

Right off the bat, I would recommend purchasing a software program called DataPilot by Susteen.  I bought the program a few years ago and still use it with my BlackBerry Bold.  It works with virtually any cell phone, backing up contacts and calendar information.  It has saved me a bunch of times with a good backup of my stuff.  It is not free but it is well worth the purchase.  It is available by download for Mac or PC at Susteen's web site.
