i think i may have formatted an sd card incorrectly. can i reformat it and if so, how?

What if I change my mind about how I want to use the SD card for storage?
To access storage settings, touch Settings > Storage > select SD card > select the three dots in the upper right > Settings > select whether you want to Format as Internal or Format as Portable, depending on what was initially formatted.
