Does anyone else have issues with their S7 overheating constantly and draining the battery? I've turned off all background apps and am still having the same issues. I only get about 4-6 hours on a full charge...very disappointing
Ramoscj04,
We want you to have a working device. Let's get this fixed. When did you first notice the symptoms you mentioned begin? What do you notice causing the overheating?

I first noticed the overheating about 6 months ago during the summer. It
wasn't very often and I honestly thought it was just because it was so hot
outside. I live in Yuma and our summer temps average 115. But, the
problem has progressively gotten much worse and now the battery doesn't
stay charged at all. I have to charge my phone at least twice during the
day and it's really bad when I use my phone to make calls, check Facebook,
or answer emails. Just in the past few minutes it has taken me to write
this response my phone is hot and my battery is down 6%.

Ramoscj04 You shouldn't have to carry a charger and you certainly shouldn't have to worry about your phone getting hot. The battery should last over 4 hours (depending on what is running). Let's work together to figure out what is going on. Does the device get warm but you can still hold it? Are you receiving overheating / temperature alert messages? Does the phone have any water or physical damage?

I have the same issue phone heats up and battery does not last and does not charge thru cord very well. No water damage.
Under SETTINGS, there is an option to check power management. Look to see if a particular app is consuming heavy amounts of power.
My S7E only heated up during the initial updates. Since then, it has stayed cool to the touch. The Otterbox case might shield my hand from some of the heat, but, the back never gets disconcertingly hot.
