Now we have to pay full price on these phones why is Verizon branding these phones? We should now have an option for which if any Verizon programs (if any) we have on our devices.
You choose to purchase a Samsung. You could have purchased a Pixel phone and got zero bloatware.
Ann, thats not a very nice answer. Companies and carriers could also choose to not include bloatware, now that they are not subsidizing phones. You sound like a shill, passing blame onto someone because of the brand they purchased. iPhones for example, do not have bloatware. Its kind of sad that one of the features of the pixel is that it doesnt include bloatware..
Google made a choice is marketing the Pixel phone as a universal model with zero bloatware or in Verizon Wireless' case four VZW applications which are completely removable. Motorola decided to design and market the Moto X Pure Edition one universal model with no bloatware and sell directly from their site. HTC limited their carrier variants to a minimum for the HTC 10 phone models. Samsung chose to create 50+ carrier variants with customized UI and applications for each carrier they catered to or charged the carriers for the various features. They could have made ONE universal model for the world. They didn't and now the customers suffer waiting for updates and having applications they can't remove.
