Staying synced with gmail

My droid X will not stay synced to my gmail account. It doesn't recieve messages unless I go and clear my data then it recieves emails. How do I get it to stay that way? It seems like it started when I was trying to send pictures in an email? I am puzzled and don't understand. Thanks

my Droid X started doing teh same thing. is there a sync issue with any one else? or is it a bug with just our 2 phones

My X is not getting Gmail unless I press sync. Started about 2 weeks ago

called tech support. had to to a restore of teh phone. and it fixed it you might have to do the same to get it back its running better now then when i first baought it. the tech said he does it about every mounth or so. hope this helps

I have had this problem from time to time. You will need to do a forced reset by turning your phone off, removing the battery, singing the "alphabet song" or something like it, replaceing the battery and then turning on the phone. If the mail does not start flying into your phone click the lower left hand button and do a refresh. That should take care of it. This seems to occur somewhat randomly but I suspect the backup assistant's sync is the culprit.
