DROID MAXX

For the last 3-4 months the performance with this device has deteriorated significantly. Dropping calls, battery draining faster than ever before. I went to a Verizon store, they installed a new network card, but basically said this phone is 6 years old and can't keep up with the new network technology that is being rolled out and I should consider a new phone. Any truth to that?

With any phone you may experience service issues as the phone cannot keep up with the current network advancements. Let's make sure all of your options have been exhausted before getting a new phone. What happened after resetting your network settings?

I've found performance has dropped off on most of my devices after a couple years. Increases in requirements from apps, system updates, deterioration of components due to age will all contribute to this.
