Anybody considering the Facinate over the Droid X and the long awaited update

Was just curious, I am still in my 30 day period and have been following all these post about the update... I personally dont think its coming... Was thinking about trading for the Facinate. Anyone with experience... I hate all this **bleep** about the 2.2 update.

The Fascinate has a smaller screen (4.0 vs 4.3 on the X), smaller internal memory (2gb vs 8gb on the X), less camera (5mp vs 8mp on the X), No HDMI output (X has HDMI output).

The Fascinate also runs Android OS 2.1 with nothing in the wind yet about being upgraded to Froyo.

Those are the differences........ only you can make that choice.

The answer you your question fom me is NO I am not considering the fascinate. I think its absolutely hilarious that you think that the X is not going to get the 2.2 update. I might have read your post wrong, but that is what you are saying right, that you think the X is stuck with 2.1??

I'm not considering trading my X for the Fascinate. Not for a second. The X serves me very well as it is, except for the low ringer volume, which I work around nicely. And, of course 2.2 wil get here eventually. At least they are talking about it. I can't figure out why 2.2 wasn't shipped on the Fascinate. And its update to 2.2 hasn't even been mentioned, unless you can point me to a source showing that it has been.

All of this means nothing. You need to go to a Verizon store and play with the Fascinate and decide for yourself which phone is best for you.

But you did ask. So there's my answer.

nope. i went into the verizon store and there was a little wait before we got to talk to tech support for my gf`s ally and i was checking out the fascinate and it just felt like a plastic toy. sure it`s pretty and all that but doesn`t even begin to compare to my x.
