SD card not being recognized on phone

OK so my phone died as in ran out of battery life and when I turned on my phone my SD card came up empty and when I investigated it, it isnt being recognized on my phone. I reset my phone completely and that didnt solve the issue. If anyone can shed some light on how I can fix this it would be a appreciated.

Is your SD card empty? Can you read the SD card on something else? A couple of ideas that may help. Can you go to your phone settings and unmount the card for removal and then reinstall? Can you reformat your SD card? It may help.

No the card isnt empty I had it in my phone and it worked just fine, I cant unmount it or reformat it. Waiting on an SD reader but it would be better if it was an easier fix.

in other words, you don't know if it's actually empty or not. you need to verify the sd card is still good. it sounds like the card got corrupted.

Simple thing to try:

- turn phone off

- remove back cover

- remove battery

- remove SD card by pushing on it slightly to release, then remove

- reinsert SD card

- reinstall battery and back cover

- turn on phone and see what happens
