Samsung wall chargers dying over a short time

Is it a trend that the S6 Edge Plus is killing rapid wall chargers? I read something about overheating on Rapid Charge mode.

Seems to be killing several of my home wall chargers (White rectangular units - "Travel Adapter" - EP TA20WJE)

When phone loses power below a few percent, seems to be a real hassle / overnight process to get charged enough to be usable again.

This is not progress. Bummer that the battery isn't removable either. "Two steps forward..."

Our phone batteries are designed to stop charging when full, which takes just a couple hours with rapid charging.  Plugging in overnight stresses the battery and charger.  To extend the life of battery and charger, keeping the battery between 20 and 95%, which means dont plug in for 8 hours at night.  I plug in for a couple hours in the evening, but not overnight.  I've had Samsung phones for 4 years and still have the original charger , which works fine.

If you need a replacement, Amazon sells OEM chargers for half price.
