I had to file a claim on the Note 7 and pay a $199 deductible. Of course the replacement phone is faulty -- will I get my deductible refunded?
Why did you have to file the claim?
Dropped literally the day after I received the replacement from the first recall. I cannot imagine I am the only person since the release of the phone originally has had to file a claim. Curious to hear if other's have had to and what their turn out was/is.
It won't be refunded.
No pherson I believe it will be refunded. The device was recalled. Why would they not receive a refund?
Agreed. I called Asurion and they said Verizon will refund it. This does remain to be seen however.
Because they broke the device. That wasn't a Samsung Verizon or asurion error.
You dropped it because the phone got hot, right :smileyhappy: ?
You know it! :smileyhappy:
You are correct - not an error on their end however....the replacement device is faulty - therefore there is nothing I should be paying for. Asurion doesn't want the Note 7 back to replace with another device of my choice.
pherson you know I love you bud but I gotta disagree. I believe because of the recall, any damage to the device is not charged back to the customer. I mean it could (as @weth says, because it got hot) or something like that. They're going to dispose of the product anyways so there is no point in charging for damage. The device is useless regardless if they try to get a replacement or not.
I personally don't see that being the case IMO. But I will never be with the OP to see if they get a refund or not so.....
