S7 Edge reboots randomly

I've had the S7 Edge for about a week and have noticed that it reboots occasionally for no apparent reason and with no user input. I tried wiping the cache and that didn't make a difference. I also noticed a few times that the screen would be really dark when the device was activated and I had to go to the Display setting and boost the Brightness, even though it was set to Auto.

At the store it was suggested that a hard reset might be needed. Looking for an easier remedy if there is one.

I did the factory reset and haven't had a recurrence. Not a fun solution but it seems to have worked.

Our goal is for your new phone to work flawlessly without any issues. There is another troubleshooting step we can try before the factory reset. Let's make sure we gather more information to find the best solution. Does the phone reboot when using an app in particular? Is there a new software update? Settings>System updates>Check for new update.

Have you installed any new apps? Sometimes a conflict with certain apps will do this
