When on a voice call it goes from 4g to 1x

When on a call I am unable to send pic msgs as well.as log onto some websites apps. It goes right to 1x instead of 4g. The advanced calling feature is on. How do I rectify this?

The VoLTE setting on the phone is on ?

If you have an older device like Samsung Galaxy S® 5 or Motorola Droid Ultra / Maxx / Mini, follow these steps to turn HD Voice on or off:

1. Go to Settings.
2. Tap More Networks or Tethering & Networks.
3. Tap Mobile Networks.
4. Tap the VoLTE Call setting to turn it to On or Off.

Notes:

• You can access this setting after you've added the HD Voice feature to your account.
  
  
• If VoLTE Call is set to Off, then HD Voice is disabled.

If that doesn't work remove the HD voice feature from your account and then add it back.
