froyo 2.2 for droid is not real its a fake marketing to make u buy there phones

I still don't have mine and from what I've read in sum sites and forums 90 percent of people out there still don't have it I doubt were getting n its already close to 18 only 3 more days n only 10percent of people out there have it n others just installed it directly! People it not coming trust me this is all just marketing to make u get there phones even thou I already have one.. IF I'M WRONG VERIZON THEN PROVE ME WRONG SEND ME UPDATE WITHIN 24HRS BET YOU CAN'T LOL

If you want to manually update your phone, use the instructions in this link: http://www.droid-life.com/2010/08/03/manual-android-2-2-update-for-motorola-droid/

The 2.2 update was definitely slow in getting started (possibly delayed due to a change in build, IE they fixed a few bugs or other issues), but it is rolling out right now. You clearly aren't among the first people to get it, but that doesn't mean your phone won't get the update.

Perhaps you could post a link to this reputable site that has reliable information that the Droid is not getting Froyo?

thats just rediculous, i know people who have gotten the update already and OTA , the way its released is whats is just silly.
