Update UM175 Firmware

I have two UM175 modems for my business, and frequently use them for VPN access for my programmers to take control of my laptop. On my newer UM175 the VPN works great.

On my older Pantech UM175VW I have trouble with maintaining a connection. It currently is firmware D0700VET01_3.190 and I would like to update to the latest version. On the Verizon site I can only find updates to the VZAccess Manager, and no information is in the online user manual.

Is there an easy method to update firmware?

For firmware updates, it is usually best to have a store technician update the device.

Try updating the PRL through VZ Access Manager to improve the service.

To activate or update a PC card / USB modem it must be located within the Verizon Wireless network.

Ensure that the PC card / USB modem is inserted into the computer.

If using a notebook with an embedded module ensure the wireless radio is powered on.

Open VZ Access Manager.

From the Windows desktop navigate: Start > Programs (All Programs) > VZ Access Manager.

From the Macintosh desktop navigate: Finder > Applications > VZ Access Manager.

From the Linux desktop navigate: Applications > Internet > VZ Access Manager.

From the VZAccess Manager top menu, navigate Options > Activation.

Click OK.

How can I get the software for my UM175VW? The cd was misplaced and the program was erased when I had to reset my computer. I cannot locate any information for this item on-line.
