Visual Voice Mail

I do not with to sign up for visual voice mail, but I haven't been able to remove it from my phone. It is annoying because everytime I get a voicemail it tries to get me to sign up for the visual voice mail service. I saw some previous posts that said to go to MyVerzon, manage content and apps and remove it from there. Well it's NOT THERE to remove. I called Tech Support last week and asked for this to be removed and to stop sending me messages. Please help!
