Note 4 Marshmellow 6.0.1 Not Recognized by Android Auto in 2018 Chevrolet Trax .

My Note 4 is running Marshmallow 6.0.1 and is not recognized by Android Auto in 2018 Chevrolet Trax. I have checked the USB debugging box, the USB configuration is MTP media transfer protocol. I just purchased this car. We couldn't get the Android Auto to recognize my Note 4 at the car dealership, the salesman plugged his Galaxy S7 into the USB port in the car and it worked perfectly with Android Auto. All my phone does when plugged into the port is beep simultaneously with the flashing charge icon. The battery in the phone is new and 100%. I have tried difference cables, the phone charges correctly everywhere, including the new car. Any help would be greatly appreciated ?

I would contact Samsung as per Google's article here it should work with 5 and above.. although 6 Marshmallow is recommended.

Set up your Android Auto app - Android Auto Help

Make sure you have the latest version of Android Auto app, which I assume you do. Android Auto - Maps, Media, Messaging & Voice - Android Apps on Google Play

If you do have the latest version of the app let us know what Samsung comes back with.
