Can someone tell me how to adjust the touch screen sensitvity on the Note 8? My glass protector is making it very difficult to navigate. The pointer speed option is not making a difference at all.
Congratulations on your new device, Imasparklegirl. It's important to be able to use your touch screen fully. As touch screen calibration isn't supported on this device, it's possible that a screen protector may impact how your screen functions. So we can better understand this issue, please tell us more about what happens when you try to use your touch screen since applying the screen protector.

Hi thank you for getting back to me. I have to keep tapping the screen to
make the screen recognize the letter that I'm typing. It's like I have to
tap it hard for it to register.
Thank you,
Heather
I'm having the same problem with my Note 8. Went back to the Verizon store where I bought my phone and also my screen protector and the customer service rep told me that there wasn't anything wrong with my phone that it was just me and that's [removed]. Please Verizon tell us how we can get back the touch sensitivity that we've had on the other Samsung phones even with a screen protector. Anxiously awaiting your reply to our problem.

Hi imasparklegirl,
I understand that having to press harder on your screen is not the best experience. While I have a screen protector on my phone, to give me that peace of mind. I'm happy to help you adjust your touch screen settings. Please go to settings-display-navigation bar-hard press home button. Once that is done, please test it out and let me know how it goes.
Thanks so much,

Thank you, I tried that and it doesn't seem to help. Is there anything else
that could help?
Thanks

I'm having the same problem and its with the whole screen and not just the home button. What kind of screen protector do you have on your phone? I'm wondering if that is something to do with it? I don't want to leave the screen unprotected but wondering if there is a better option than what I have.
I'm attaching a picture of the screen protector that I bought. It was
supposed to be case friendly...Which it is. I bought a case from Caseology.
I think I am going to search for another screen protector as well to see if
it makes a difference.
There is no attachment. You need to add the image to the thread directly and not in a reply via email.
I can't communicate through the community forum because everytime I sign in
it wants me to create an account. I already have an account. This is
driving me nuts!
Here is the link to where I purchased the screen protector. Hopefully this
comes through. If not then go to Amazon and search for Herhea screen
protector for the note 8. To double check that it's the one that I
purchased there should be a review with a rose gold Caseology case with the
protector on the phone.

I am having the same issue...additionally sometimes the key next to the one i press gets registered. I prefer the glass screen protectors but it just not worth it.
I had the same problem and took back to Verizon store , they replaced my screen protector with a liquid glass protection. Which is just a liquid she applied over the glass ...it works awesome now! But being a new product, I am taking a chance on how well it will protect it. However, It does have a one year guarantee... Guess we'll see ! At least I typed this in half the time than when the other protector was on it
I have the same issue. I purchased a Zagg screen protector at Verizon. The agent told me several issues had been reported, but there was no fix. I paid enough for this phone and trying to protect it. The scene protector was pricy too. I never had this problem with any of my other Samsung phones and have always used the same grade of Zagg protector. Samsung needs to have an update to remedy this problem or there needs to be a recall on the Zagg screen protector for this model Anything along the edges of the phone do not have sensitivity. It's horrible. Even when typing, you have to press harder. Very disappointed.
I have the same issue except it happens without a screen protector.
You should be able to navigate your phone with ease Darmcn61. Are you having issues with your whole screen? Do you have the most updated https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/samsung-galaxy-note8-update/ software? Please share more details.

I saw a suggestion on another forum to change the setting for the Hard Press Home button on the Navigation bar to either off, 1 or 2 (the default seems to be 3). I have a glass protector on my screen and had the same problem. When I changed the setting to 2 it seemed to help a lot, even more when I turned it off altogether. To find the function go to Settings -> Display -> Navigation bar -> Hard press home button.
Hope that helps.
I'm having the same exact problem.
It doesn't help at all.
I had to take my screen protector off, because even adjusting the screen sensitivity did nothing. It works fine now. Unfortunately wasted $50 on a screen protector. I was told this phone has gorilla glass. I take pretty good care of my phones and use a case. I haven't seen any scratches. Not a fan of the curved screen either.
I had the same issue and was going to return the phone. A friend suggested I remove the tempered gas screen protector. I did, and the sensitivity is perfect. Yes, I am fearful of dropping the phone, but I will not go back to the unresponsive screen.
Its sad bought note 8 and cant change the sensitivty
