What was your very first mobile phone, and what was the absolute best feature on it?

Was it the classic Nokia 3310? The Motorola Razr? Did you love T9 text, or a crazy custom ringtone?

This wasn't my phone, but my Dad's. He got a big blocky car phone in about 1993 and I was about 8 years old. My parents made me learn the number in case I needed it. Despite changing providers, jobs and moving several times, after 33 years he STILL has the same number, although now it's an iPhone. It's pretty much the only phone number I have memorized besides my own.

Wow, my first phone was the Motorola DPC-550. That was before everyone developed a 'favorite brand' The phone itself wasn't big but the battery was huge. Now, I like my Samsung's. I remember being so excited to go to the Nokia which was so much smaller but still huge compared to today's phones.

My first cell was the Nokia 1011 which came out in November of 1992. I remember it could hold lots of numbers and you can call people. It was so much fun not having to remember numbers.

I also remember using beepers/pagers back in the 1980s and early 1990s.

Those were fun times.
