We have been having service cut in and out for approximately 2 months then as of yesterday 4g no longer works will show we have 3 to 4 bars try to use our phone and nothing, took to Verizon after 3 hrs the guy said verizon is phasing out 4g to basically get you to upgrade to 5g plans and phones, so upsetting. So have purchased another phone just not thru them, other than my current plan will not give them anymore money. If this doesn't fix the issues will be switching providers also. Anyone else having this issue?

I've noticed for a little over a year now that my phone constantly has a 5G icon showing; however, if I check more deeply, the phone is still using 4G a lot of the time even with the 5G icon appearing. So Verizon must be upgrading their towers where 5G cells are running the older 4G spectrum as well as 5G. If your devices were configured only to use 4G from 4G cells, then that would be why they were having service issues. 4G has been around for over 15 years, so there is going to be some future time when it gets obsoleted, much as 1G, 2G, and 3G are now gone.
