Mobile Service Performance

Hello,

I have had horrible service the last few months. I thought it was my phone, so I purchased a new one. When that didn't work, I went back to a physical SIM instead of a virtual one. That still didn't work. I'm not sure how after 12 years of living in the same general area I would now be experiencing such terrible performance with the network. I would assume it should only improve and not get significantly worse.

It's obviously not your phone since you bought a new one.  I don't know your location, but if a lot of people have been moving in recently or a bunch of new construction has been going on, that can definitely affect your service because either the network has gotten more congested, or something is blocking your reception.  Also, if Verizon is doing some kind of network upgrades in your area, things are going to be wonky for a while...this was going on with me over the summer for a few months while the towers around me were being worked on.

Has anyone at Verizon reprovisioned your account so your phone knows to use all the currently available spectrum for which your service plan is eligible?

Another thing which can affect your service is what service plan you're using, and whether you're prepaid or postpaid.  Some plans/customers will be deprioritized on the network, which means your phone is connecting to a tower further away than the closest one.
