Slow mobile data at location

Hello,

I am getting extremely slow download speed on mobile data at my location. There are many other Verizon customers at this location with similar speeds. I am unsure how to report this issue, as I think it may be related to a tower in the area.

Use the Check Network Status link on the right side of the forum page.  It's also at the bottom of the main Verizon website.  Enter in the requisite details, and it will tell you if there's an outage or other issue.  If it says nothing's going on, you can still put in feedback on the form.

Slow data speeds can also be caused by a number of other factors including but not limited to: lots of traffic (congestion) on the tower(s) in your area, the service plan you have (the more you pay, the better your priority on the towers), and whether or not 5G is available where you are (if the neighborhood is 4G LTE only, the speeds will be slower).

Thank you for the reply. I completed your suggestions before posting. This speed is abnormally slow. 4G LTE here is normally in the "double digits" Mbps during work day congestion. This has been an issue here for a while now, so I was hoping for a better way to report the problem than the feedback form.

We will be glad to help you get your data speeds up and running. Please tell us, does this happen while being indoors? Is this impacting multiple devices?~Geo

Both indoors and outdoors. It is impacting multiple devices across multiple users/accounts.

Thank you

@vzw_customer_support  thanks, but please PM @Perfect_Form  as they are the one who is having the issue, not me.  I just like hanging around to help. ๐Ÿ™‚

P.S. - Would help if the ZIP code in question was listed so they can see if there is a network outage.

I was looking around to see if there's a better way to report an outage, but other than calling the generic numbers listed in the contact section, doesn't seem to be. ๐Ÿ˜ž

If you don't have the Ookla speedtest app installed on your device, it's a free app and will give you more details than just the download speed (your screenshot above I think comes from a website).  If the slow data speeds are being caused by some network problem, you'll see significant packet loss reported in the detailed test result.  When Verizon had a tower issue near my workplace, the speed test results were coming back like yours and 30% or more packet loss all the time.  It took them nearly a month to resolve the problem, unfortunately.
