5G advertised

I first started with the 5G home and it was great, at the beginning. Incredible speeds without lagging. Only 3 devices at the most would be connected but most days just 1. I was so impressed that I went and added a 5G mobile unlimited plan Pixel 7A promo. Which was advertised saying my home Internet cost would lower. Great that's fantastic. Not 3 months into my home plan and I noticed it wasn't 5G now it was LTE or 4G. Ahh and my speed dropped, service lagged or would just freeze up. Around that time my brand new Pixel, just barely 2 months old was stolen. That's a whole different complaint. But I added 2 lines and suspended the stolen line. Both new lines 5G as well. Or that's what I signed contracts for but have yet to use that service. The mobile lines stay in LTE. And yet I was sold and am paying for 5G service. So is it false advertisement, fraud or breach of contract? Verizon being at fault... Now if I violated terms, mislead or deceived the company I would be held liable. So how can they correct it?

Case2122, we're sorry to hear about your lost phone, and the issues you're having with your service. Apart from your phones not showing 5G, are you having any problems with your phone data speeds, calls, or texts? If so what data speeds do you get on your phone? You can check this by Googling "speed test" and using the one provided there.

You have a lot of company with your 5G light shutting off in recent months, myself included. Don't know if your area regularly gets a lot of congestion on the network, but that's one potential cause. Another person reported that Dynamic Spectrum Sharing (DSS) was shut off on the towers in their neighborhood, so 5G and LTE are no longer being run through the same antennae any more.
I have noticed that the towers where I live have been getting some kind of work on them lately, because my 5G light has come back on recently and I've had pretty good luck picking up 5G around certain towers. But the new twist to the system now (my phone is unlocked and not a Verizon version) is that even though my phone says "5G" 24/7 now, it is actually only in 5G when the icon lights up. Sort of like those old "On Air" signs in TV studios where the sign always says the same thing, but the studio wasn't on air unless the sign was turned on. I'm a prepaid customer, so am deprioritized to the postpaid customers. Sorry to be rambling, but the point is, things may very well get better in the near future for you.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
