My daughter's high school sits in the middle of 5G coverage area. However, the Verizon students cannot even get a LTE signal and the only thing their phones indicate is SOS. This is not due to the building blocking the signal, or issues with the devices given there are several hundred Verizon customers/students in the building.
Conversely, T-Mobile and AT&T students have phenomenal service. The signals from those providers clearly work fine in the building.
Does Verizon send engineers to test signals? Do they even care about the true coverage in an area that supposedly has 5G coverage but they students cannot get any signal even outside the school walls.

Hello jpcooney. School is getting back in session and I get your daughter needs a reliable way to reach you when needed. And you are correct, our network engineers are constantly monitoring the network and making changes when available. Let's take a closer look at what could be going on in the High Schools area. Please reply with the high school location in the private message that will follow. We will start there.

Iโm a student having the exact same issue, my phone will work for an hour and then completely lose its signal until I leave school. Itโs ridiculous.

We're sorry about the issues you're having at school. We want you to have coverage no matter where you are, and we want to help figure out what's going on. What troubleshooting have you tried so far? Do any other Verizon users have issues in that location?

I had conversations with a Verizon staff member, via private message, but they were unable to resolve the problem until someone is at the location and can run through a series of tests. To be honest, the only provider that has an issue is Verizon. ALL the students with Verizon have absolutely no service in the building and they can barely get any LTE service outside the school.
