I haven't had 5G service for awhile now I always had it when I was outside then T-Mobile did a huge push into my area and I was wondering if T-Mobile is interfering with Verizon 5G service or if it is just a congestion thing at this point I think it's a combination of both.

Hi, different carriers use different radio frequencies on their networks; it's how they keep the networks separated, so I doubt that the T-Mobile expansion into your area is messing with things. Network congestion is a possibility, especially if you are not on one of the top 2 current postpaid plans available. As with anything else, you get what you pay for, so those who are paying the most have the highest priority for closest tower access. A signal-finding app can tell you if your phone is regularly being bounced around on the towers or if you're being directed to towers farther away than the closest ones. 5G radio waves do not travel as far as LTE waves.
With more and more wireless devices hooking up to cell phone towers and Verizon still not having as big a 5G network as the other guys, going to be an increasingly common problem.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

Hi Darkterror69. That is a great question. Yes networks do operate on different signals and is monitored by the FCC, so one network does not interfere with another carrier's license to transmit over their signal. There are other factors that could be impacting your service, and we are here to take a closer look. Please reply to the following private message, and we will work together to make sure you have the best possible Verizon service and experience.
