Is anyone having MMS/Pic texting problem in Northern CA? We're having intermittent issues where sometimes picture text will go through and sometimes it won't

Yes. Same issue and it started yesterday. I have restarted my phone several times but still the same issue. Have not been able to find any info online, but have heard several providers are affected and was possibly a network hack.

Hey there, PinkstonJ, we know it's important for your messages to be delivered! Are you running into any issue with receiving messages? Is data working normally for you? Are you seeing an error when trying to send a picture message?

Same in Northern California! Just started happening early yesterday morning. Mostly what is being affected is group messages and images. Verizon troubleshooter said I needed to add "Picture messaging" to my account. When I chatted with a rep, they said they had to reinstate it on my account. I didn't do anything to have caused it. I'm still having issues and am clearly not the only one. Samsung Galaxy 22+ phone.

We're sorry to read about the issue with pictures on your messages. Have you checked the settings on the Messages app to check that Chat settings are on? ~Peter

We spent 3hrs with CSR yesterday and tried everything still not working. Uninstaling/Reinstalling the Google message app, move it to esim, network reset, clear message app cache, turn phone of and on multiple times after Verizon rep said "I did something on my end" Text from different phones (Android/Apple) sometime it goes through sometimes it goes through sometimes it doesn't. Seems like it's impacting Northern California (central valley) and Reno Nevada Area. Please visit this link and see that many other Verizon customers are experiencing the same problem

I got the same thing from VZW - "it was probably a third party app that updated and broke it." Nope. I know how to use my phone. I know how to check all the settings. VZW needs to see this as the bigger issue it is. This is not a one-off problem a user like me or you is having.

I've checked all settings. I've turned things off and on. I even went online and switched messaging off and waited 30 seconds and turned it back on. I'm using Google messaging but also tried to switch to both Verizon messaging and Samsung apps. Same issue. Please elevate this beyond a single-user issue. There is some sort of system issue that needs to be tracked down please.

Thanks for confirming all of those settings details, davephone7. I would agree that the number of folks with the same issue in the same area would mean it's not a device issue. We will have to gain account access to take a closer look into this and look at an escalation path here. Please be on the lookout for a private message from us.

I am having the exact same issue! Also I'm Northern California. Brand new Samsung Galaxy s24+ phone... that had no issues before yesterday. Sometimes I can get pics from iphone users... but most of the time can't download the MMS messages. So far absolutely none of the troubleshooting tips have worked.

Oh, no! Dealing with service issues can be frustrating, especially if you are encountering MMS issues. Verizon is here to help.
What recent changes have you made? Who else is experiencing this issue? Aside from the picture messages, any other problems?

We know how important it is to have your message working correctly, we'll be glad to help out. Is this happening only with MMS? What app are you using to send them?

YES! Mine started working too. I knew it wasn't just me. Glad to see that we were able to come together and show it was bigger than user error or the like.

Hello! We are here to help with messaging issues. To better assist, please tell us a little more. What is the texting app you are using? What model is your device and is the software up to date? Are you connected to Wi-Fi or using your data?
