Mobile Users on Verizon Network Experiencing Slow Load Times on My Website

Hi everyone,

I’ve noticed that users accessing my website from mobile devices on the Verizon network are experiencing significantly slower load times compared to users on other networks. The issue seems specific to mobile and only affects Verizon users.

Here’s what I’ve observed:

  1. Pages take 6–10 seconds to load on Verizon mobile data, while the same pages load in under 3 seconds on other networks like AT&T or Wi-Fi connections.
  2. The issue is more pronounced for pages with images or embedded videos.
  3. Tools like Google PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix don’t show any major performance issues.

What I’ve tried so far:

  1. Optimized images and enabled lazy loading for media files.
  2. Ensured my site is running over HTTPS and using a CDN (Cloudflare) for caching and delivery.
  3. Checked Verizon-specific compatibility issues but couldn’t find anything relevant.

Questions I have:

  1. Are there known compatibility issues or throttling policies on Verizon’s mobile network that could cause this?
  2. Could it be related to how Verizon handles certain types of traffic or caching for mobile websites?
  3. Are there specific optimizations I can make to improve performance for Verizon mobile users?

Thanks in advance for any advice or insights you can provide!
